Terrence Higgins Trust
Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) is the UK's leading HIV and sexual health charity and the largest in Europe. Since it was founded in 1982, when Terry Higgins became one of the first people in the UK to die with AIDS, THT has been at the forefront of raising awareness and providing high-quality services to those affected by the epidemic. Our work is far-reaching, ensuring we meet the needs not only of those infected with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) but also of those affected by them; friends, colleagues, family, carers and partners.
Our 19 regional centres, which adapt their work to meet the local need, offer tailored 1-2-1 and group support such as counselling and befriending schemes. These are complemented by a number of national services, such as THT Direct Helpline, which ensure that professional, informed and up-to-date help is available to absolutely anybody in England and Wales when needed.
Your support of our work is greatly appreciated. There are well over 50,000 people in the UK living with HIV and many thousands more infected with other STIs. With your help we can offer support, information and advice to those most in need and improve the sexual health of the nation.
Registered Charity No. 288527.
